Assistant Manager for well-established antique store/destination property.
Job Description: Assist owner in managing day-to-day operations at a well-established, 9-acre antique store/destination smoke free property.
Location: Between Pipe Creek and Bandera, TX., 45 miles Northwest of Downtown San Antonio.
Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated experienced team member for our well-established antique store located in Pipe Creek, TX. The Antique store continues to be a prominent destination for over 30 years and is part of our thriving 9-acre property including:
Employee Management: help coordinate the daily activities to ensure a cohesive and motivated team.
Inventory Control: Maintain accurate records of inventory, assist with procurement, pricing, and organize merchandise displays to create an engaging shopping experience.
Restoration Assistance: Collaborate if needed with the owner and restoration specialists to assist in the restoration and preservation of antique items, ensuring their quality and authenticity.
Sales Support: Provide exceptional customer service, assist customers with inquiries, offer product knowledge, and facilitate sales transactions.
Social Media Marketing: Manage the store's social media, develop engaging content. create email promotions, interact with online followers to enhance brand awareness and drive sales. This includes using Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, and eBay as sales channels.
Trade Shows/Travel: help manage during our antique trade show in Round Top, Texas. Set up captivating antique booth displays, engage in sales interactions throughout the show, and help dismantle our booths.
This enables us to showcase timeless treasures, drive sales, connect with passionate collectors, and immerse yourself in the vibrant world of antiques at of the most prestigious shows in the nation.
Opportunities for extra income:
Selling your own creative designs from Jewelry to soaps/candles in our established brick & mortar location, and trade shows
Previous experience in retail management, preferably in the antique industry.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Must be physically able to perform above tasks.
